Welcome to Waterford!

We invite you to join us for an unforgettable cycling experience through the stunning landscapes of Northern Loudoun County! The 1st Annual Waterford Bicycle Classic, hosted at the scenic Wheatland Spring Farm and Brewery, promises to be a fantastic day of cycling, camaraderie, festivities, and craft beer—all to support the essential work of the Waterford Foundation and our wonderful local businesses.

About the Ride

Whether you're a seasoned rider or new to cycling events, the Waterford Bicycle Classic offers something for everyone. Choose from three thoughtfully designed routes featuring a picturesque blend of gravel roads and smooth pavement, winding through some of Loudoun County’s most historic and scenic areas. After your ride, celebrate your accomplishment with friends, family, and fellow cyclists at Wheatland Spring Farm and Brewery, with delicious food, refreshing beer, and lively entertainment.

All proceeds from the event directly support the Waterford Foundation, dedicated to preserving the heritage, history, and natural beauty of our region.

About the Routes

Our routes are being developed with the support of some of the region’s most experienced cyclists. Full route details will be published this summer, but we’re planning the following distances.

“Half-pint.” Short Route (~20 miles)
Perfect for riders seeking a leisurely experience or newcomers exploring their first gravel adventure. This route gently meanders through rolling countryside, historical landmarks, and charming farms.

“Full Pint.” Medium Route (~40 miles)
Ideal for riders looking for a bit more challenge and adventure. Featuring a balanced mix of scenic gravel and pavement, you'll traverse through breathtaking views and significant historical sites.

“The Stein.” Long Route (~60 miles)
Designed for the more ambitious cyclist, this route tests your endurance through stunning vistas, historical backdrops, and delightful rural roads. Expect rewarding climbs and exhilarating descents.

Rest stops stocked with refreshments, partially marked routes, and SAG vehicles.
